I would highly recommend Cypress Construction for residential construction. Cypress Construction built my home in 2009, and the process from start to finish was handled in a very professional manner. Henry was helpful during the design phase. Once our plans were complete, Hank worked with us to create a budget for the project. It was during this process that I made it very clear that I did not want any surprise change orders during construction that would result in the project coming in over budget. During construction, Hank was on the job site almost every day. He was very responsive to any questions and/or adjustments to the plans that were made along the way. He also worked closely with us to make sure that we were making decisions in a timely fashion to keep the project moving (for example, flooring selections, paint colors, etc.). At the end of the project, we were very happy with our beautiful home, built in a high quality fashion with a total cost that came in within 1% of our original budget. This company built our home in late 2010 after our former home was destroyed in Hurricane Katrina. Our entire experience with them, from beginning to end, was outstanding. As I wrote our address heading above, I realized yet again how much we ow Hank Martinez. We found him in the worst of times. The massive clearing, temporary housing, funding problems, and rebuilding phases stretched on for several years all over our area. We had been through several of these phases ourselves and had just had to release a bad contractor who had stolen a third of my elderly mother’s rebuilding funds and riddled her property with giant water-filled holes. Others we knew had also had a number of serious contractor-related problems. At this point, we noticed a well-built home by Cypress Construction near our property. Thorough investigation proved it to be a top-rated firm. We met with Cypress’ staff, unsure whether or not we could afford to rebuild after losing a chunk of our building funds to the previous contractor. Even with all of its problems Hank Martinez, his father, brother and staff took on our project.
